The location for all our meetings this year is the Rice Street Library, at 1011 N Rice Street in St Paul.

The Vento Dinner is moving forward, and our keynote speaker will be Garrison Keillor. Volunteers are needed before and during the event. We also need donations for the silent auction.

Big Big Training Session coming up on June 30. Everyone should come, no matter how well trained they think they are. The coordinated campaign plan is undergoing major changes due to improving technology and an ambitious, well staffed state party office. You'll want to keep abreast of new changes to our campaign plans, and take the opportunity to improve the plan with your own ideas and experiences.

The State Executive Committee planning retreat was held this last weekend in Virginia, MN. CD4 was well represented. Five people were there from SD 65 alone! Many great things are afoot and you'll hear all about them if you come to the June 19 meeting of CD4 exec!

The Party Operations Committee needs volunteers to help write a precinct handbook, and also work on the statewide media list. We're taking every newspaper and broadcaster and figuring out their coverage areas by precinct, to create a complete but local media list for every corner of the state. Very tedious, time consuming work, but it only has to be done once. Contact Tim Morse if you want to help.

The mailing of sample ballots to identified DFL voters in the 4th district is paid for entirely by local party units.

The main purpose of Sunday night's Vento Dinner fundraiser with Al Franken (which was sold out and a complete success) was to raise money for the sample ballot. We are also asking Senate Districts within CD4 to contribute what they can to mailing ballots within their own areas. Every new dollar that comes in will go directly to the expense of printing and mailing sample ballots.

Even with all the local units' contributions and the money that CD4 has raised so far, we are short of our goal, which is to mail sample ballots to every identified DFL voter in the district. Please make a contribution to CD4 DFL right now, through our paypal account.
